Prince Bassey Edet Otu on his victory at the Gubernatorial polls and presentation of Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC. In a release signed by the Chairman Mr. Fidelis Duker and Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Etim the group said the choice of Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu by the good people of Cross River State is a testimony to the fact that ymhe is loved. It continued that they are confident that the leadership of the Governor Elect will bring greater development to the state economy across several sectors including the Creative Economy sector.The Group offered its continuing support especially in the area of development of the Creative Economy of the state to meet up the national level of growth.The group added that according to report, the creative industry is positioned as the country’s second-largest employer and has the potential to produce 2.7million jobs by 2025. Additionally, it is set to contribute 5 trillion Naira to the country’s GDP.It asserted “Based on your people first manifesto, which is centred on empowerment rather than appointment, we are very much convinced that creative sector economy in Cross River State if properly harnessed has the potentials of contributing to the development of the state economy.”In the release, it said “There is no gainsaying that Cross River State can have a huge chunk of the $2.9 trillion global creative industry market share through proper planning and policy formulation in your coming administration.”It concluded “We look forward to making this vision a reality through mutually rewarding partnership with your Administration.
