BON Appeals To Gov. Wike To Avert Order For Demolition Of Her Property

The Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, BON has appealed to the governor of Rivers state, His Excellency Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike to stay the execution of the order to demolish the property of the Daar Communication PLC Complex at Ozuoba Port-Harcourt.
In a letter signed by the Chairman, of Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, John Ugbe, BON passionately appealed for Gov. Nyesom Wike’s swift intervention which they believe will assuage the demolition order.
John Ugbe in his letter revealed that BON’s passionate appeal is based on the following premises:
Your Excellency has the executive power to avert the demolition of the complex.
Rule of Law: Your Excellency sir, the dispute on the land is already a litigation matter before a court of competent jurisdiction.
As a media-friendly governor, that Your Excellency consents and out of court settlement of this matter.

BON especially appealed that the governor uses his trusted executive to avert the demolition and also to permit justice to follow its natural course and due process.
He further stated that they will be glad if the governor intervened speedily by directing the agency that served the demolition order to stay the execution of the order. Adding that BON will look for an amicable way of resolving the issue as quickly as possible.
