by A tragic incident unfolded in Kabeama community, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, as a man known as Tony allegedly beheaded his girlfriend. The victim, identified as Maxuel Ebibraladei, had a child with Tony.
According to neighbors, Ebibraladei was killed by Tony around 3 am on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Her severed head was discovered by neighbors at dawn. Tony attempted to flee but was apprehended by residents and handed over to the police.
The deceased’s remains were deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, while Tony was detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Residents expressed shock at the incident, describing the couple as quiet and easy-going.
ASP Musa Muhammed, the police spokesman, confirmed the incident, stating that the command would issue a statement regarding it.
A community member, Ebi Akuna, alleged that the suspect is a runaway soldier and drug addict. Akuna mentioned that Tony’s father is from Benin City, Edo State, while his mother is from Kabeama.
