Kano Shuts Down School Where Kidnappers Buried Five-Year-Old Victim

The Kano State Government has ordered the immediate closure of a private school, Noble Kids Academy, at Kwanar Dakata, in the Nassarawa Local Government Area. The school is the location where suspected kidnappers buried their victim, Hanifa Abubakar, aged five.

The victim Hanifa was said to have been kidnapped at Kwanar Dakata in the metropolis by her teacher, Abdulmalik.

Recall that Hanifa according to reports was said to have been kidnapped in December and N6 million ransom was demanded by her abductors.

The Police spokesperson in Kano, Abdullahi Kiyawa, stated that Tanko killed his pupil when he discovered that she had recognised him.

While announcing the closure of the school, the State Commissioner for Education, Muhammad Kiru, revealed that policemen discovered the corpse of the victim where it was buried in the private school.

The Commissioner further said that the state government would start to investigate the unregistered private schools and teachers.
