Just In: Tension Rise As Gunmen Kill Another Six Police Officers In Cross River, Flee With Rifles

According to information reaching CrossRiverWatch, unknown gunmen assaulted police officers at two checkpoints in Obubra LGA in Central Cross River state early this morning, chanting IPOB songs.

Two officers were shot and killed in the early morning assault at Ofotura, while four more officers were killed at the Oyadama checkpoint. The criminals took away all of their guns.

Another soldier, who was shot in the side, has been reported dead. 

Recall that last week, suspected gunmen attacked Policemen in Idundun, Calabar, the state capital leaving four officers dead.
