Governor Ayade Orders Immediate Restoration Of Street Lights In CRS

In a bid to secure life and properties, the Governor of Cross River State, Prof Ben Ayade has ordered the immediate restoration of street lights in Calabar, the state capital, and Ogoja and Obudu.
In a press release signed by the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the governor, Christian Ita on Friday 3rd June, the governor directed the Special Adviser, Technical, Architect Eric Ekpo to take over and oversee the running of the State Electrification Agency, SEA with immediate effect.
Architect Eric is to oversee the running of the State Electrification Agency until the appointment of a new Director-General for the agency.
He is to ensure the immediate restoration of street lights in Calabar, the state capital, Ogoja and Obudu.
Calabar has been without street lights for over a month, thereby allowing hoodlums and criminals to carry out their activities.
The need for street lights can not be overemphasised as this will curtail the activities of hoodlums in the state.
