Cross River State Police Command Calls for Peaceful Conduct During Planned Protest.

The Cross River State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Gyogon A. Grimah, PSC, FCAI, has made a significant appeal to various stakeholders and the general public ahead of the nationwide planned protest, “End Bad Governance.” This appeal was made during a critical meeting held today with key associations including the Hoteliers Association, Market Women, Chairmen of Watt  Market/Marian Market Associations, and the Unified Commercial Drivers Association.

During the meeting, CP Grimah emphasized the necessity for cooperation and collaboration among all well-meaning citizens to ensure that the protest remains peaceful. He strongly urged against any form of violent demonstration, reminding attendees of the tragic outcomes of the #EndSARS# protests, which left many individuals and businesses in distress.

The Commissioner stressed the importance of maintaining peace to support the state’s developmental and economic growth. He reiterated that violence is counterproductive and called on Cross Riverians to give peace a chance.

In his address, CP Grimah highlighted the role of various community leaders and associations in fostering a peaceful environment and urged them to help dissuade any violent activities during the protest.

The  CP, Cross River  State Command, also reiterated the call for non-violence, emphasizing the command’s commitment to public safety and the protection of lives and properties.

The Cross River State Police Command’s proactive engagement with community stakeholders reflects its dedication to maintaining peace and order at all times.
