by Cross River State Commissioner For International Development Cooperation, Inyang Asibong , has congratulated the Governor-elect, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, over his well deserved and record breaking victory at the
just concluded Governorship elections in the state.
Asibong, in her statement, described Otu as the People’s choice whose election has been won long in the court of public opinion before last Saturday’s ballot which he won popularly and resoundingly.
The Commissioner said Sen. Otu has broken the political record in the state for resoundingly winning the highest popular vote ever by any Governor of Southern Extraction.
According to the Commissioner, applause goes to Governor Ben Ayade for standing firm on the “Back To South” agenda which he publicly announced and fulfilled to the people of Cross River State and the Southern part in particular.
On behalf of the Ministry of International Development Cooperation (MIDC),”I congratulate the People’s Governor-elect for this resounding victory not only for Prince Bassey Otu and Governor Ayade, but for the people of Cross River State.
“Sweeping 15 out of the 18 local government areas of Cross River State is a record for any elected Governor from Cross River Southern Senatorial District’’ the statement added.
