Ada Bekwarra II Congratulates Cross River Governor-Elect, Prince Otu

Commissioner for Youths and Skills Acquisitions, Hon. Signor Omang Idiege has congratulated the winner of the just concluded governorship election in Cross River State, Prince Bassey Edet Otu.

The Commissioner, who is also Ada Bekwarra II commended the people of Cross River State for choosing to continue to witness good governance in the state under the ruling party.

He stated that the victory at the poll by the governor-elect indicated that the outgoing governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, has performed well to the admiration of the Cross River people.

Noting that the people have spoken through the ballot, Ada Bekwarra II commended INEC for doing a yeoman’s job in conducting a free and fair governorship election.

Ada Bekwarra II equally praised the security agencies for ensuring a peaceful poll despite the pre-election fear of chaos.

He also commended the incumbent governor, Ben Ayade, for espousing people-oriented programs and policies, especially in the youth ministry which according to him, allowed the youths to be relevant in society.

The commissioner, however, urged the governor-elect to be magnanimous in victory and rally the support of his opponents in the election to ensure continued good governance in the state.
