A woman (name withheld), has been paraded round the community for stealing a bag of Cassava at Akanu, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
Her reasons for stealing are yet unknown as the mob won’t let her speak but ridicule and call her all sought of names.
A source which spoke to our correspondence mentioned that she is a vibrant woman and without disabilities, but ventured into stealing from the struggling, deprived, people on the breadline rather than working with her hands.
Some other persons have cried out against the parade of the woman for steal, stating that whether she stole or not, it is nothing compared the foolishness and cowardice displayed when we come around the main rogues (heartless politicians).
“Look at the energy spent on a mere cassava thief but will keep mute over a more heinous theft” he added.
Meanwhile, other human right activists have declared that something is fundamentally wrong and that they won’t forgive this barbaric act coming from the people of Ohafia.
