by Two students from the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji in Ondo State, lost their lives in a tragic accident on the Akure-Ondo Expressway on Wednesday evening.
The victims, identified as Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, were reportedly riding a motorcycle when they were struck and killed instantly by a speeding vehicle.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council, Ondo State Chapter, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Thursday. The statement was signed by the association’s chairman, Oluwarotimi Tobiloba Joshua, General Secretary, Oluwanishola Ajibola, and Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Blessing.
“This is a devastating loss for the student community in Ondo State. The tragic deaths of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragile nature of life. These were young individuals with bright futures, and their loss is profoundly felt,” the statement read.
