The Calabar south council chairman Hon. Mrs. Esther Bassey has flagged off the Calabar peace festival tagged #yak emem odu.
Speaking at the flag off session which took place today at the Calabar south council Hon.Bassey said this became necessary following the aftermath of the #EndSARS Protest in the state.
She therefore called on the youths to drop their arms and join in this festival by displaying their talents in different cultures as participants will be awarded.
Also speaking at the flag off session the secretary to the council Mr. Francis Ironbar while commending the youth for this initiative enjoined all men and women in the state to participate in this peaceful festival.
