PROTOCOL
Gentlemen of the press, I Invite you here today to officially parley with you (Media), and to brief you of the security situation of the State. In these few weeks of my deployment to Cross River State Command.
Let me start by thanking all Cross Riverians / good spirited citizens, media, and eminent security stakeholders for the confidence reposed on the officers and men of the Cross River State Police Command and Nigeria Police Force at large through unwavering and seamless collaborative efforts and sacrifices in securing our Paradise State (Tourism Destination).
May I also use this medium to intimate you about the Inspector General of Police. IGP Mohammed Abubalur Adamo. NPM, mnl resolve to bring Community Policing to the door step of Citizens at all levels. This is aimed at dominating every public space that have been occupied by heinous criminal elements who were bent on depressing the National security order.
I want to reiterate and unequivocally state that the Command has strategized and mapped out an onslaught on cultism, armed robbery, kidnapping and other social vices across the State and will never renege on this no matter whose ox is gored.
In furtherance to these, the Command will not stop soliciting the support of Traditional Institutions, Religious leaders, Youths / Community leaders, Civil Liberty Organizations (CLOs) and the Political Class to join hands with the Police to fight this hydra headed monster that tends to shatter the peace of the state.
In conclusion, the CP stressed that the command while performing its statutory functions will not tolerate any unwholesome behavior from any quarter whether individuals or group of persons, whose determination may be to jeopardize the peace of the state or cause panic to law abiding citizens.
Consequently, the command is poised to clampdown on all criminal elements and law breakers at all levels. Nevertheless, we crave your support and understanding, in providing useful information that will be analyzed and turned into actionable intelligence that could lead to the arrest of hoodlums, and perpetrators of crime within the state.
Once again, our spiritual, community and youth leaders in various communities are hereby enjoined to eschew bitterness and rancor that may lead to intra/inter community conflicts.
