by Wife of the governor of Cross River State, Mrs Linda Ayade said that Nigeria cannot prosper unless the health of women and children is made a top priority by the government at all levels.
Mrs Ayade made the assertion while speaking to newsmen in a meeting for the ‘Saving Mothers and Giving Life’, an initiative sponsored by Pathfinders International at Transcorp Hotel, Calabar on Saturday.
The first lady of the state said Nigeria which has an estimated population of 173.6 million with approximately 24 per cent being women of reproductive age can only prosper if the health of women and children is taken seriously at all levels of government.
