by Men of the Nigerian police are currently occupying the premises of the Cross River State House of assembly in Calabar.
Our reporter who visited the assembly noticed a large detachment of police men from the police headquarters, Diamond hill Calabar.
The state governor, Ben Ayade is alleged to have ordered the deployment of the officers to prevent PDP members of the house from sitting.

Yesterday, an Abuja federal high court sacked 18 members of the house who defected to the APC from the PDP and two other federal lawmakers in the house of representatives.
As at the time of filling this report, the police officers were still occupying the assembly building.
