by The Nigerian Senate Representative to the 2023 Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference (IPU), Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong has stated that Nigeria is at the cusp of participating effectively and dominating the 4th Industrial Revolution.
He made this known during the main session of the 2023 Inter-Paliamentary union conference currently holding in Hanoi, Vietnam. The senator pointed out that Nigeria has a comparative advantage with its large youth demographic who are very innovative and technologically knowledgeable.
This he posited will greatly enhance Nigeria’s ability to participate effectively and dominate the 4th Industrial Revolution. He said that while it maybe argued that Nigeria and by extension, Africa has shown up to previous Industrial Revolutions a bit tardy, this 4th revolution will be dominated by Nigeria. Senator Ekpenyong further called on the Inter-Parliamentary Union to support the country in furthering the Digital Transformation agenda.
