by As the National Sports Festival Edo 2020 gradually draws its cotton, many landslide performances and victory has been recorded by participants.
Felix Ekpo of Cross River State who won three (3) gold medals in weight lifting competition (73kg) in the National Sport Festival, has made the state proud by his land sliding victory in the National Sports festival
Felix Ekpo is also a National Champion, Common wealth games Champion. He also was the Best men weight lifter in 2008 and Came 6th position in the World 2012 Olympics.
Meanwhile, other medalist have emerged in the ongoing National Sports Festival, this includes; Hamdjam Soudgi representing Cross River State who won the gold medal in the 1500 meter race in 3.50:69 and Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Mike who took part in the high jump event, has finished with a bronze medal in the National Sports Festival tagged “Edo 2020”
Participants have also expressed their joy towards the National Sport Festival stating that it is one of the best sport festivals.
Also, present at the closing ceremony of the handball event include; Minister for sports and youth development , Chief Sunday Dare and the HFN president, Mr. Samuel Ocheho among others.
Recall that the National Sport Festival was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
