by Cross River South Senator -Elect, Asuquo Ekpenyong has congratulated Senator Bassey Edet Otu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who emerged the winner of the governorship election in Cross River State.
In his message, the Senator-Elect described Otu’s victory as a true reflection of the wishes of people of Cross River State and “not the machinations of some individuals or groups outside the state.”
He added that he looked forward to working with the incoming governor for the peace, security and development of Cross River State.
He commended the great people of Cross River South for conquering ethnicity campaigns by the opposition and fully participating in the electoral process by voting Massively for APC.
“I equally commend the Independent National Electoral Commission for their innovations and introduction of the BVAS technology which no doubt helped in strengthening the credibility of the electoral process.” He noted.
