Cross River Kicks Off Free Measles Vaccination Campaign for Children

The Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency, in partnership with the State Ministry of Health and other partners, will begin an Integrated Measles Vaccination Campaign from October 5th to 13th, 2024.

Measles is a serious disease caused by a virus that can easily spread from person to person. During this campaign, other vaccines will also be provided for children aged 0-23 months, including the HPV vaccine for girls aged 9-14 years and measles vaccines for children aged 9-59 months.

Trained health workers will be available at health centers and other locations such as schools, churches, mosques, and markets from 8 am to 2 pm.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their children to these vaccination sites or any government health facility.

The vaccines are free, safe, and effective. Don’t miss this chance to protect yourself and your family from preventable diseases.
