C’River Police Set to Embark on a Raid of All Drinking Joints Without Liquor License Across The State

The Cross River State Police Command has revealed their readiness to raid all drinking joints across the state.

The movement which is geared towards ensuring compliance with the state’s liquor licensing laws and to curb illegal activities associated with unlicensed establishments was contained in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Irene Ugbo on the 7th of June 2024.

While soliciting the cooperation of business owners, The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Gyogon Augustine Grimah, PSC, FCAI, stressed that the exercise will be carried out in accordance with the relevant laws in the state.

He further urged residents not to panic as the exercise is geared towards public safety and order.

RAID OF DRINKING JOINTS WITHOUT LIQUOR LICENSE IN CROSS RIVER STATE

The Cross River State Police Command wishes to inform the general public and business operators that the police command will be embarking on a raid of all drinking joints across the state. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with the state’s liquor licensing laws and to curb illegal activities associated with unlicensed establishments.

The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Gyogon Augustine Grimah, PSC, FCAI, solicits the cooperation of business owners in this regard. He emphasizes that this operation will be conducted in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the state.

Residents are urged not to panic as the exercise is intended to enhance public safety and order. The primary goal is to address illegalities and criminal activities perpetrated by individuals operating or selling alcoholic beverages without the necessary licenses. Such individuals will face legal action.

The Police Command also implores all citizens residing in the state to remain law-abiding to ensure peaceful coexistence.
