CP Grimah Praises Cross Riverians for Lawful Conduct During The #EndBadGovernance Protests

The Commissioner of Police for Cross River State, CP Grimah, PSC, FCAI, expresses his sincere gratitude to the residents of Cross River State for their peaceful and lawful behavior during the recent “End Bad Government” protest. Despite concerns about potential violence, the public’s conduct was commendable.

CP Grimah encourages everyone to continue their daily activities without fear and to ignore any false and misleading information spread for selfish reasons. He stresses the importance of being vigilant about security and urges people to report any suspicious activities or unknown individuals in their areas to the Police or other security agencies for immediate action.

On behalf of the Nigeria Police Force in Cross River State, CP Grimah thanks the people of Cross River, including traditional and religious leaders, hotel owners, market associations, transport unions, youth groups, student unions, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), corporate organizations, other security agencies, media outlets, the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), and the hardworking police officers of the command. The cooperation and support from these groups have been invaluable and are greatly appreciated.

Special thanks go to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD NPM, the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 6 Headquarters, Calabar, AIG Jonathan Towuru mni, and the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu. Their exceptional support and guidance at various levels have been crucial.

The Cross River State Police Command remains dedicated to upholding principles of Equity, Fairness, and Justice, especially within the framework of modern policing practices. The Command is committed to carrying out its duties proactively and effectively.
