by One of the aspirant for the Cross River State PDP Chairmanship post, Mr Venatius Ikem was disqualified by the party’s screening committee.
He was disqualified on the grounds that he returned to the party less than 18 months without waiver, hence he was not cleared to contest during the state Congress for State Chairman.
The Provisional Clearance Certificate issued to Mr Ikem was signed by the chairman and secretary of the screening committee respectively on March 22, 2020.
With this development, the leading state Chairmanship aspirant, Alphonsus Ogar Eba will be running for the office unopposed in the August 8, 2020 state congress.
