Buhari Appoints New Board Members For Anti-graft Agency, EFCC

New members to the board of the nation’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mr George Abang was appointed as secretary of the board, while Lukman Mohammed, Kola Adeshina and Mohammed Yahaya were appointed as board members by the President.
The appointments are subjected to the ratification of the senate.
In a letter obtained by sources, Buhari’s letter seeking confirmation of the nominees was read on the floor of the Senate by the senate president, Ahmad Lawan, at the beginning of the plenary on Tuesday.
Buhari said their nominations were following the Act establishing the Commission.
He urged the Senate to confirm them in the “usual prompt manner.”
