The Central Bank of Nigeria, acting on behalf of the Federal Government, has once again adjusted the exchange rate for cargo clearance to N1,605/$.
This adjustment follows recent fluctuations that saw the rate briefly rise to N1,515/$ before stabilizing at N1,472/$. Since January, there have been multiple adjustments, starting from N952/$ in December, then moving to N1,356/$, followed by N1,413/$, and subsequently N1,444/$. The rate then increased to N1,515/$ before settling at the current rate of N1,605/$.
A check on the Nigeria Customs Service portal on Wednesday confirmed the new exchange rate.
