WAEC Official Confirms Buhari’s Certificate at Tribunal

Mr Henry Adewumi, Deputy Registrar of the West African Examinations Council in charge of school registration has today confirmed that President Mohammadu Buhari obtained a Cambridge University West African Examination Certificate with five credits.

Adewumi made the confirmation while testifying before the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja.

Buhari, on Tuesday, opened his defence against the petition filed by the People’s Democratic Party and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

PDP and Atiku, in their petition challenging the victory of Buhari’s alleged that the president did not possess a secondary school certificate.

The two witnesses, Abba Kyari, two former secondary school mates testified to having obtained Cambridge University West Africa Examination Certificate in 1961.
