Midnight Fire Destroys Properties Worth Millions Of At Lagos Market

An early hour fire outbreak has gutted shops at the Gowon Estate market destroying goods. The fire which went out of control was not quickly put out but the fire fighters. Some traders at Gowon Estate in Lagos State are still counting their loses following the fierceness of the fire that razed 11 shops on 401 Road in the early hours of Saturday.

The first half of this year has experienced several fire outbreaks in different markets across the nation leaving shop owners in tears and confusion. This is quite an unfortunate situation.

Although no life was lost as a result of the fire outbreak, the fire destroyed goods and other properties worth millions of naira.

As at the time of this report, the cause of the fire could not be determined, although investigation on the cause of the outbreak is still on.

Shop owners and others have called on the state government and other good Nigerians to come to their aid.
