A Notorious Criminal Meets His Brutal End In Calabar – Jungle Justice

A notorious criminal who had become a torn to the flesh of the inhabitants of Mount Zion Street and its environment in Calabar South, Cross River State has been killed today at the early hour of about 6am.
This is happening not up to two days after a criminal was caught at highway by Zenith Bank, flogged and allowed to go home because some people pleaded on his behalf.
Like the popular saying goes; “Ninety-nine days for the thief, but one day for the house owner” such is the case of this criminal who had nearly completed his mission successfully before meeting his end.
According to an eye witness, his operation was almost successful but for angry youths who chased him and beat him to death.
Until his death, he had terrorized the street and its environment. And has been known for his wicked acts.
This is a lesson for every young person to learn, acquiring skills and being contented will prevent such horrible death.
Considering the times and seasons, and the present economic challenges across the nation and the world at large, stealing or armed robbery shouldn’t be an option for anyone.
But, who should be blamed for this? Is it the government who have asked everyone to stay home in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 without any form of relieve materials or do we blame the youths for refusing to be hardworking?
But, is jungle justice the way out? Is killing our fellow human being for one wicked act or the other, solving the problem or putting an end to the misdemeanor in our societies? This and many more questions cluster the mind when vibrant people, especially youths become victims of Jungle justice.
