Washington, D.C. – The United States has extended its congratulations to the people of Burkina Faso on the 64th anniversary of their independence. In a statement released by the U.S. Department of State, Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken praised the resilience of the Burkinabé people in the face of ongoing challenges.
The statement emphasized the United States’ support for Burkina Faso’s pursuit of peace, stability, and prosperity. The U.S. government expressed its commitment to working with Burkina Faso to advance security, economic development, good governance, and human rights.
The statement reads;
“On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Burkina Faso on the 64th anniversary of your independence.”
“In the face of uncertainty and insecurity, the United States commends the strength and resilience of the Burkinabè people and supports your pursuit of a peaceful, stable, and prosperous future.
