Samsung has announced that One UI 7 will officially launch in April, following a four-month wait after the initial pre-release version was introduced with the Galaxy S25 lineup.
The Galaxy S25 series debuted with One UI 7 in January, but the software has only been available as a beta on most Galaxy devices so far.

Built on Android 15, which launched in October, One UI 7 will bring the latest features to devices such as the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series. This means that owners of these models have been anticipating the stable release for several months. This extended wait is notably longer compared to other brands like Google and OnePlus, whose Pixel Android 15 and OxygenOS 15 updates have already reached select devices.
Apple, on the other hand, uses its own iOS software and typically rolls out updates to all eligible iPhones simultaneously, creating a different approach to software updates. This highlights that Samsung’s strategy for releasing One UI 7 has been somewhat unconventional.
Ahead of the official rollout, Samsung has begun releasing new One UI 7 betas for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 foldable phones. The Galaxy S24 series had access to the beta earlier, while Galaxy S23 users will have to wait another month, according to Android Authority.
There is also speculation that Android 16 might launch in May, which could make One UI 7 feel outdated soon after its stable release – though there’s little Samsung can do about that at this point.
