FIFA has sanctioned special transfer windows for Club World Cup participants: a primary window from June 1-10 and an in-tournament window between June 27 and July 3, during which clubs can register up to two additional players.
This development follows Real Madrid’s earlier attempt in December 2024 to acquire Alexander-Arnold during the January transfer window, which Liverpool declined, prioritizing their Premier League title ambitions. As of now, Alexander-Arnold has not publicly indicated a desire to leave Liverpool, and negotiations regarding his future remain ongoing.
