Optoma has unveiled an innovative portable Ultra Short Throw projector, introducing a completely new “game-changing” projector series.
The laser-powered Optoma Photon Go, showcased today at The Bristol Show in the UK (Friday, February 20, 2025), is designed from the ground up to provide portable entertainment. It overcomes the challenges of creating UST projectors that are compact enough for easy mobility and simple to set up.In terms of portability, the Photon Go is impressively compact, measuring just 252mm (W) x 157mm (D) x 62mm (H) and weighing only 1.72kg. These dimensions are exceptionally small for any projector, especially for an ultra-short throw model, which typically requires a sophisticated internal lens system to project an image at a large size with minimal external throw distance.
The Photon Go also comes with a built-in battery that provides 1.5 hours of true wireless playback, allowing for convenient use anywhere. Its ability to be placed near a wall (offering a 100-inch image from less than 25cm away) eliminates the need to find a spot in the middle of the room, greatly enhancing its portability.
Additionally, it features auto keystone and focus capabilities, ensuring a sharp, clear image right away without the need for the extensive manual adjustments typically required by UST projectors.
