An early morning road accident on Monday, May 12, 2025, claimed the life of one person and left two others injured along the Tradefair–Agbara route in Lagos State.
According to the Lagos Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the crash occurred at approximately 5:36 a.m. at the Iyana Era Bus Stop. The incident involved a blue Mack truck with registration number AKD 579 XM and a silver Lexus saloon car with registration number LSR 545 JN.
Preliminary investigations by the FRSC indicate that the crash was caused by speed violation and loss of control, despite the smooth condition of the road. The impact of the collision led to the death of one male adult, while two others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Emergency response teams arrived at the scene within minutes of the report and worked swiftly to manage the situation. The injured victims were immediately referred to the Alimosho General Hospital for medical attention.
The FRSC expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery. They reiterated their commitment to road safety and called on all motorists to avoid speeding and always maintain full control of their vehicles.
