Lion Mauls OAU Veterinary Worker During Feeding

During a feeding session, a lion attacked and killed a veterinary worker at Obafemi Awolowo University’s Zoological Garden in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The victim, Mr. Olabode Olawuyi, who had been caring for the animals for over a decade, was attacked by a nine-year-old male lion. Despite efforts by other staff members to rescue him, the lion’s attack proved fatal. The university community is in mourning over the tragic incident.
