Israel Launches Wave of Airstrikes on Gaza, Death Toll Soars Amid Escalating Conflict

“Israel’s Intensified Bombardment of Gaza: 61 Palestinians Killed in 24 Hours Amid Ongoing Conflict”

Israel’s relentless airstrikes on Gaza continue, with at least 61 Palestinians reported dead in the past 24 hours. Among the casualties are two Palestinian journalists, including an Al Jazeera Mubasher reporter whose car was targeted in northern Gaza.

The renewed Israeli assault follows the bombing of Nasser Hospital in Gaza, resulting in at least two deaths, including that of Hamas leader Ismail Barhoum. Gaza’s Health Ministry reports that more than 50,000 Palestinians have been killed, with 113,000 injured, while Gaza’s Government Media Office has raised the death toll to over 61,700. Thousands of Palestinians remain missing under the rubble, presumed dead.

The conflict stems from the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks, which killed at least 1,139 people in Israel and took more than 200 others captive.
