Apple is reportedly pushing forward with its mixed reality ambitions despite underwhelming initial sales of the Vision Pro headset, according to newsmen.

The tech giant is said to be working on two new versions of the Vision Pro. One model will reportedly address two of the most common complaints: the device’s weight and its steep $3,500 price tag. Apple aims to make this version lighter and more affordable, though achieving this could be complicated by ongoing U.S. trade tensions and tariff uncertainties.
Alongside the budget-friendly model, Apple is also developing a new Vision Pro variant designed to integrate seamlessly with Macs. This version would allow users to stream content directly from their Mac displays and leverage enterprise-level applications—positioning the device as a powerful tool for productivity and professional workflows.
These developments are seen as incremental steps toward Apple CEO Tim Cook’s long-term vision: lightweight, all-day augmented reality (AR) glasses that could one day replace traditional screens.
