Imbibe the teachings of Allah by living peacefully, staying healthy – DG SACA Dr Etcheri Ansa admonishes Muslim faithfuls on EID-EL-FITR
The Director General of State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS, Dr Etcheri Ansa, has called on the entire Muslim faithful to stay true to the teachings of Allah by living peacefully, while also cultivating a lifestyle devoid of unhealthy practices.
This was contained in her goodwill message to the Muslim community as they celebrate EID-EL-FITR across the world. She noted that while serving the almighty, it is also important to stay away from unhealthy practices which impinge on family good health and causes diseases.
“On this day of Eid-el-Fitr, I celebrate all the Muslims worldwide for this auspicious occasion. I call on you all to live within the teachings of Allah, staying healthy and living peacefully. Today’s occasion should remind us of the love and heathy lifestyle which are the cardinal teachings of Allah. Let us then eschew acts of violence and unhealthy lifestyles among us, knowing that we all deserve to be treated equally.”
“We have seen the deadly impact of the current global pandemic, let us all avoid acts capable of causing further spread, and by testing always in order to know your status right on time.”
She also adviced that HIV/AIDS was still a killer disease which must be eliminated if Humanity was to note of all preventive measures and practices like female genital mutilation and other unhealthy acts were responsible for the continued spread of the disease.
The DG commend efforts of government in giving approval for the celebration even amidst the global pandemic of Corona virus. Advising all to follow the instructions issued by authorities aimed at combating the COVID-19.
